"Pretty Blues Tutorial"

I wrote this tut on July 4th, 2009.
Any resemblance to another tut online is purely coincidence.

You will need any version of Paint Shop Pro.
You also need a good knowledge of using templates and masks.

My Pretty Blues scrap kit you may find.
Here

I am using a template by Missy or choose a template similar to one i used.
Missy_template5
Mask i used is by Weecostlass.
Wsl_Mask61.
Or choose a mask of your choice.

I am using the awesome artwork of Ismal Rac.
You may find his tubes.

Please Do Not use the same tube without the proper license from AMI.

Ready, Let's Start.

Open your template in Psp, shift D to duplicate and close the original.
Open your mask. Shift D to duplicate, close the original.

On the circle layer select all, selections float, defloat, copy and paste
A paper of choice from the kit, selections invert, hit delete, select none.
Delete the circle layer, add a drop shadow.

On the rectangle layer, selections all, float, defloat, copy and paste
A paper of choice from the kit, selections invert, hit delete, select none.
Delete the rectangle layer, add a drop shadow.

Repeat the steps above for all other template layers.
Add drop shadows.

On your white background, copy and paste a paper of choice from the kit.
Open your mask of choice and apply. duplicate the mask layer,
On the original mask layer, go to adjust, blur, gaussian blur of 20%, click ok.
Hide all layers except for the 2 mask layers and merge visible.
Pull the merged mask layer to fit the canvas.

Add any embellishments from the kit and position where you want.
Add drop shadows, sharpen if needed. see my tag as a
Reference on placement.

Add your name in patterns or colors and add a drop shadow.
Add artist copyright info and your watermark.
Save as a .png file.
