New Tut "Magical Christmas"


This Tutorial was written by me on Nov. 29, 2012. in Pspx2. and is my sole creation.
Any other tut online is purely coincidence.

"Supplies Needed".
You must have a very good knowledge working and applying mask to work this Tutorial.
Paint Shop Pro. Any version will do.
Animation Shop (Optional) . If you want to add snow.
Mask used Wsl_Mask17.  Here

Tube by Ismael Rac.  Here
Please Do Not use the same tube without the proper license.
Font of choice. I used the font Pristina.  Here
 
 Ready? Let's Start.

1.) Open a new blank canvas and floodfill with white.
Open the Wsl_Mask17 in Psp.
Go to layers/New mask from image and on the drop down find your mask.
Source Luminance is checked. The rest is unchecked. Click ok.
Merge group.
2.) Open your choice of papers from the scrap kit.
Copy and paste paper over your white background layer.
Go to layers load/save mask from disk. Apply the mask.
On your layer pallette, Merge the mask group.
3.) Repeat the steps on 1. and 2. with a different paper from the kit.
4.) On the mask layer above the white background, use the deform tool to pull mask out to fit canvas.
Leave the other mask layer as it.
Hide the white background and merge the mask layers visible. Drop shadow optional.
5.) Copy and paste one of the frames of your choice from the kit.
Add a drop shadow. I used V&H=1.
Opacity=50. Blur=3.
6.) Highlight the frame layer. Copy and paste a paper of your choice.
With the magic wand tool, Click inside the frame.
Go to Selections, Modify, Expand by 6. Selections invert, Hit delete.
Move the paper layer below the frame layer.
Add a drop shadow of your choice.
7.) Highlight the frame layer again. Copy and paste a beaded ribbon from the kit.
Resize the beaded ribbon by 80%. With the magic wand tool, Click inside the frame.
Copy and paste the beaded ribbon and position where you want it.
Go to Selections, Invert and hit delete. Make sure the ribbon is above the paper layer.
Add a drop shadow of your choice to the beaded ribbon.
8.) Open your tube of choice in Psp. Resize the tube by 80%.
Highlight the frame layer. With the magic wand tool, Click inside the frame.
Go to Selections, Modify, Expand by 6. Copy and paste the tube.
Selections, Invert, Hit delete. Move the tube above the beaded ribbon layer.
Add a drop shadow to the tube. I used V&H=2. Opacity=50. Blur=6.
I just noticed on my tag the tube is below my ribbon layer.
It was just an honest mistake on my part...Lol.
9.) Now you may decorate your tag the way you want or use my tag as a reference.
Resize all elements and drop shadow to elements as you wish.
Add your name and your watermark.
Add all Artist copyright Info.
That's it, All Done.
