New Tutorial "I Miss You"


This Tutorial is of my creation. Any resemblance to another tut is purely accidental.
I wrote this tutorial on April 13th, 2009.

"Supplies Needed"

Paint Shop Pro. 9. You also must have a good knowledge working with masks.
I Miss You scrap kit by Bea of Bea Creations.

Mask of choice, Tube of choice, Font of choice.
I am using the artwork of Elias Chatzoudis. Please do not use the same tube
Without the proper license to do so.

"Ready, Let's Go"

Open a new 600x600 blank canvas and floodfill with white.
Choose a paper from the i miss you kit, copy and paste onto canvas.
Open mask of choice, apply mask. Duplicate the mask layer,
On the original mask layer, add a gaussian blur of 20%, click ok.
Hide your white background, and merge the mask layers visible.
Unhide the white background. with mover tool, pull the mask layer out to fit canvas.

Open doodles of choice and place behind the merged mask layer.
Add a drop shadow of choice. Layers duplicate, image mirror, image flip
And place doodle where you want or use my tag as a reference.

Open a paper of choice, foreground set on pattern, background null.
Width 10 or whatever you choose, and holding down your shift key,
Draw a perfect circle, objects align, center in canvas and convert to a raster layer.
Add a drop shadow to the cirlce layer.
Select all, float, defloat, add noise of 50%, randon, monochrome checked, click ok.
Sharpen if needed.

With magic wand click inside the circle, expand by 3
Copy and paste a paper of choice, selections invert, hit delete select none.
Move the paper below the circle layer.

Back on the circle layer, magic wand, select all, float, defloat, expand by 3
Open your tube, copy and paste tube, selections invert, hit delete, select none.
Add a drop shadow to the tube of choice. move tube below the circle layer but above
The paper layer.

Open the roses from the kit and place it on top of your mask layer.
Add a drop shadow, place one on the top right corner, duplicate this layer,
And move it down a little bit. resize to your liking.
Now hide all layers except for your circle frame paper and tube and merge visible.
Unhide your white background.

Now decorate the tag the way you want to, or use mine as a reference.
Add drop shadows to all embellishments. Add your name in patter or colors,
To match your tag. add a drop shadow to your name.
Add artist copyright info and your watermark.
Merge all layers visible, save as .png file.
