Halloween Time 2011 ( Animated )




This Tutorial was written by Me on September 30th, 2011. using PspX2.



Any other tutorial that resembles this one is purely coincidence.



"Supplies you need"



Paint shop pro. Any version will work for this tut.



You must also have a good working knowledge working with masks.

Wsl_Mask17. Here






Halloween tube of choice, Font of choice.






I am using the awesome artwork of Ismael Rac. Here


Please Do Not use the same tube without a proper license.







"Ready? Let's Start"






1.) In psp open a new blank 600x600 canvas and floodfill with white.



2.) Open the Wsl_Mask17 in Psp and minimize for now.



3.) Copy and paste Halloween paper09 on top of your white background.



Open the Wsl_Mask 17. Go to layers, new mask layer from image.



A box will pop up, Under source window, you will see your mask listed.



Invert mask is unchecked. Load/save mask to alpha channel. Click ok.



Go to layers, Load/save mask from alpha channel. Click ok.



On the mask layer, merge group. Add a drop shadow. ( Optional ).






4.) Repeat the same steps as above for the second paper13.



Hide all layers except for the two mask layers and merge them visible.



Unhide all layers. On the merged mask layers, Using your deform tool



In PspX2 its the pick tool, pull out the mask on all sides to fit the canvas.






5.) Copy and paste the Halloween Trick or Treat frame01.



With your magic wand tool, Click inside the frame. Selections, modify, expand by 6.



Copy and paste Halloween paper02. Selections invert, hit delete. Select none.



Move the paper layer below the frame layer. Add a drop shadow.






6.) . Highlight the Trick or Treat frame. With magic wand tool, Click inside, expand by 15.



Copy and paste one of the beaded ribbons, Selections, invert, hit delete. Select none.



Make sure the beaded ribbon is under the tube layer. Add a drop shadow.






7.) Highlight the frame layer. With magic wand tool, Click inside the frame.



Selections, modify, expand by 15. Open your tube and resize by 80%.



Image/mirror the tube. Copy and paste the tube inside the frame.



Selections invert, hit delete, Select none. Add a drop shadow to the tube.






8.) Copy and paste the Halloween berries and position them on the top left side.



Add a drop shadow. See my tag as a guide. Make sure this layer is under the mask layer.






9.) Copy and paste the Flower Bunces and position them on the top left side moving them slightly to the right side. Add drop shadows to them.






10.) Copy and paste the Halloween Time triple frame01. Resize 80%.



With your magic wand tool, Click inside the top part of the frame, Selection



Modify, expand by 1. Copy and paste Halloween paper02. Selections, invert, hit delete.



Select none. With magic wand tool, click inside the frame again, Copy and paste tube.



Selections invert, hit delete, Select none. Drop shadow the tube.



Repeat this same step for the other two images on the frame.



Make sure the tubes layers are on top of the paper layers.






11.) Now here you may decorate your tag with embellishments from the kit.



Or you may use my tag as a guide for placing the embellishments.






12.) Add your name in colors or papers to match your tag. Drop shadow your name.






13.) Add all Artist copyright info and your watermark.






"Animation".






1.) Highlight the Trick or Treat frame.



Go to adjust/add noise and use these settings.



1.)Random, Monochrome is checked.



2.) 60%. Click ok.



3.) Edit/Copy merged and paste into AS as a new animation.



Go back to Psp, edit undo noise.



4.) Repeat the add noise at 55%, Click ok.



Edit, Copy merged and paste into AS after the current frame.



Go back to Psp, edit undo noise.



5.) Repeat the add noise at 60%. Click ok.



Edit, Copy merged and paste into AS after the current frame.



View your animation. If your happy with the animation, Save tag as a .Gif file.
