New Tutorial "Red Elegant"

"Red Elegant"

I wrote this tutorial on Sept, 9th, 2009.
Any resemblance to another tut online is purely coincidental.
You will need any version of Paint Shop Pro. This tut was done in Pspx2.
But can be done in any version.

You must have a good knowledge working with masks.
I am using a WSL_Mask143, or you can use a mask similar.

I am using the fantastic artwork of Keith Garvey. you may find his tubes.
Here

Tube of choice, Font of choice.
My PTU Sweet Roses scrap kit which you can find.
Here

"Ready, Let's Go"

Open a new 600x600 blank canvas and floodfill with white.
New raster layer, copy and paste a paper of choice.
Open your mask, apply mask. Duplicate the mask layer and on the original
Adjust, blur gaussian blur of 25%. Hide the white background layer, and
Merge the two mask layers visible. unhide the white background.
With your deform tool, pull the mask layer out to fit canvas.

Open a frame of your choosing, copy and paste on top of the merged mask layer.
With your magic wand, click inside the frame, selections modify, expand by 6.
Copy and paste a paper of choice, selections invert, hit delete, select none.
Drop shadow the frame layer. back on the frame layer, with magic wand.
Click inside the frame, selections modify, expand by 6. copy and paste your tube.
Selections invert, hit delete, select none. move the tube below, but on top of paper layer.
Drop shadow the tube.

Open any flower doodle from the kit. copy and paste it on the merged mask layer.
Add a drop shadow, duplicate, image mirror. see my tag for placement.
Copy and paste your tube again on top of all layers, image mirror and place
It to the right side bottom. add a drop shadow to the tube.

Now you can open any embellishment from the kit and place where you want.
Add drop shadows to all the embellishments. you can also use my tag as a reference.

Add your name in font of choice. add all artist copyright info.
And add your watermark. All Done.
Save as a .Png File.
